Privacy notice

1. Who we are

Helderwoon is an initiative of Renovaid. We are the data controller for the information you leave on this website.

2. What we store — and what we don’t

The site is built so that you can use it mostly anonymously. You can enter your address, complete the questionnaire, and view three retrofit strategies without us knowing who you are. We only link your answers to you when you enter your email to save a plan.

We do not store a password (magic-link only), no BSN, no income data from third parties, and no documents like appraisals or mortgage offers in v0.1.

3. Why we’re allowed to store it

Under GDPR we rely on performance of what you ask of us (Art. 6(1)(b)) for the core functionality, and consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for product analytics via PostHog. Analytics are off by default. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell anything on.

4. How long we keep it

• Anonymous sessions without an email: 30 days.
• Email address and saved plans: as long as your account is active.
• Audit log: 365 days.
• Product analytics (only after consent): 12 months.
• Error reports (Sentry): 90 days.

5. Who we share it with

We work with a small set of sub-processors who act strictly on our instructions: Vercel (hosting, EU-Frankfurt), Supabase (database and auth, EU-Frankfurt), Postmark (magic-link email), PostHog (product analytics, only after consent), and Sentry (error reporting).

For the home snapshot we query public Dutch government sources — Kadaster (BAG), RVO (EP-Online), PDOK, and 3DBAG/CBS — using only the address you entered.

6. Your rights

Access, deletion, correction, objection, and portability — you can exercise them from your account page, or by emailing privacy@helderwoon.nl. We respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Personal Data Authority.
